Last week held a great day for the future of manufacturing in the USA. Manufacturing Day 2015 was last Friday, October 2nd, and was celebrated at numerous educational institutions around the Great St. Louis Area. QTE participated in events hosted at the Ranken Technical College campuses in St. Louis and Wentzville, as well as Southwestern Illinois College in Granite City. All in all, over 1000 high school and technical school students were exposed to how the face manufacturing has changed in the USA. They watched hands on demonstrations of mill machining, part programming, part application, and listened to key note speakers talk about their experience of what makes America’s manufacturers great! Here are a few shots of those events, and stay tuned for more posts illustrating how America is moving forward in securing the future of manufacturing!
