Mastercam X7 offers an integrated Add-On for Renishaw’s Productivity+ in-process inspection. This is the ability to use a measuring probe on a machine tool to determine fixture offsets, orientation, and critical dimensions. Manual tool-setting, job set-up, and inspection are time consuming and prone to operator errors. Probing eliminates the need for tool presetters, expensive fixtures, and manual setting with dial indicators. Probing is fast and reliable and using Productivity+ allows for machine offsets to be automatically adjusted, even during the machining process, to further enhance the manufacturing process.
