By September 16, 2013No Comments

Creative Specialties, Billings, Missouri, continues to grow and add equipment.

The precision CNC milling and turning firm has added a second Leadwell V-40 CNC VMC with a 4th axis and a Romer inspection arm.

Founded in early 2009 by John Turano, a 29-year machining veteran, the ISO-certified firm also
has 3D CAD/CAM capabilities. “We have 12 employees working 2+ shifts for six days a week,” noted Turano as he discussed the company’s growth. “We are pleased to have Joe Shipman (a 44- year manufacturing veteran) join us as our Account Manager. His experience and background will be
invaluable to us.”

The second Leadwell VMC brings the company up to eight pieces of CNC equipment. This includes five turning centers and three vertical machining centers. The firm has also upgraded its Mastercam software. Creative Specialties works with all standard metals and can handle turning up to 30” in length and 18” in diameter and machining (milling) up to 20” by 40”.

Industries served by the firm include aircraft, packaging, petroleum, energy, transportation and
agriculture. “We focus on quality, service and affordability,” stated David Buck, plant manager and 18-year industry veteran. “The new equipment, software and account manager will help with our efficiency, productivity and quality.”
